Free Covid 19 testing (even for travel) in the Greater Boston area of Massachusetts
The state of Massachusetts is working with Project Beacon, to offer free COVID testing at several different sites. This is a good thing! Why? Because they are giving free PCR tests by appointment, with results available within 2-3 business day! We got our results back in less than 24 hours. Yippee!

Many countries, like Aruba, for example, require a negative PCR (Molecular Covid 19) test taken within 72 hours of departure, for travelers to be allowed to visit. Many insurance companies, like Tufts Health, for one, won’t pay for a COVID test if you are taking it only for travel purposes, and you don’t actually have any symptoms.
The nasal swab test and lab report can cost close to $200 otherwise, although Aruba, at least, is charging only $75 for you to take the test upon arrival at the airport, and then quarantine at your hotel for 24 hours, while you await the results.
And remember, if you were out of the country and want to return to the US, you cannot board an international flight without having taken a COVID test within 72 hours of your departure.
