Reduced mileage for award flights on Delta?! How about this? Instead of using the typical minimum 60,000 miles for round-trip tickets in economy for direct non-stop flights from Boston Logan to Paris Charles de Gaulle, you can travel this winter and spring on tickets that will set you back a mere 34,000 miles or points. Taxes and fees are a reasonable $81. Magnifique!
And to boot, we got a pretty good hotel, too (average 4.2 out of 5 on the reviews), I’ll take it, at the Marriott Courtyard Gare de Lyon. 65,000 points total for a 3 night stay (plus 2.88 euros per person per day tax). I do love Hotel de Nice on Rue de Rivoli, especially Room 25 and it’s incredibly beautiful view, but, I think I’ll wait until I have no points left, then I’ll spend some euros on that darling hotel- one of my absolute favorites in the world.
Granted, it will be very sad to see Notre Dame after the fiery loss of its majestic spires and roof, but, it’s also time to show solidarity again with the Parisians, and the severe losses they have suffered. Frankly (no pun intended), I can’t wait to go back!
I checked out some other cities’ fares, and they are also reduced, but not as much (i.e. 50,000 to Rome). Me, I’ll take Paris. Et vous?
